This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Brantford (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Consulting Services for Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Electrical Upgrades,as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The main 27.6kV substation which provides control of the WWTP was installed in 1957 and is fed from a 27.6kV overhead aerial feeder line supplied by Brantford Power Inc.  The WWTP’s main outdoor substation provides 4160V and 600V secondary power distribution to the various treatment process buildings.  The main voltage utilized in all process areas is 600V, three phase. The City is seeking the services of an engineering consultant firm to deliver all required engineering services and technical expertise to complete the preliminary design, detailed design, contract administration and inspection services for the full upgrade of the main electrical feed system at the Brantford WWTP.
