This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Brantford (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of a railway noise impact assessment,as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The City wishes to engage a consultant with experience in conducting noise impact studies, to conduct a railway noise impact assessment in the neighbourhood adjacent to the Brantford railway yard, CN Dundas Subdivision, and VIA Rail passenger station. The purpose of this study is to determine the environmental noise impact of the railway operations on nearby residents, following the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) guidelines. Based on findings, the consultant shall determine the extent/cost of noise control measures required. |
