This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by City of Brantford (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the Design-Build of the Rehabilitation and Retrofit of Lucy Marco Place, located at 36-40 Queen St. in Brantford, and as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The overall objective of the project is to rehabilitate and retrofit 28 four-bedroom purpose-built student housing units to accommodate six barrier-free studio units, as many one-bedroom units that can be accommodated within the upset limit, with the remaining units converted to three-bedroom units, and one general office space. The design-build upset limit including cash allowances and all other costs required to complete the project is $2,700,000.00 (excluding HST). It is the City’s intention to use the entire budgeted allocation and to receive the most amount of units and best possible value for the budgeted amount.
